David is a Cultural Ecologist, Philosopher and Author of The Spell of the Sensuous: Perception and Language in a More-Than-Human World (Vintage, 1996) as well as his new book called Becoming Animal: An Earthly Cosmology (Pantheon, 2011). David spoke on Time and Place at the 2009 conference.
